Steps to Send Signals with Tradingview Webhook

Note: Firstly the Webhook functionality is completely independent of the Chrome Extension. You can remove Chrome Extension, however you can still use the system easily. You can setup alerts in the morning, close your browser and trades will keep going through the day.

1. Start by selecting Webhook as Signal Source from App Configuration.
2. Now click and copy your Secret URL.

3. Now go to alert actions tab to create an alert and select Webhook URL option. Paste the copied URL as same signal format as APIBridge Chrome Extension.

4. To sum up open APIBridge and Start Trading, and you will start receiving alerts from webhook.

Connecting with APITester, ChartInk, TradePoint or Other Applications

Further the APITester is a free and useful tool to understand how you can connect APIBridge with any application which provides webhook functionality.

Click here and go to APITesterhttps://apitester.com/ now select Post from drop-down menu, and also paste your copied URL to placeholder. Paste the following instructions to test with SBIN symbol.
TYPE:LE
SYMBOL:SBIN

Finally click on Test Button to send signal to APIBridge. And that’s all !

Important Precautions

(1) Select application setting and under Application Settings -> Click signal Rules, tick the first rule “Ignore consecutive Signals….”. Due to wrong alert settings in trading-view, you may receive repeated signals for a single buy; therefore this setting will help you from trade misfire.

(2) Do not share your secret URL with anyone, as a result someone can misuse it to send unauthorized signals to your APIBridge. In case you suspect misuse, you should immediately uncheck under Application Settings->Signal Source->Webhooks

(3) Even your admin/cloud administrator does not has access to your Webhook secret URL. but In exceptional case if you think your secret URL is compromised, write to [email protected]
